Helping to support men
Masculinity can often be the barrier in stopping men from being supported, it’s not natural for a man to talk openly with strangers about their personal problems, however, our circles have proved this is not the case, and each man is supported and listened to without judgement, whilst being held in a confidential circle.
The importance of confidentiality and being authentic is the key to growth within any men’s support group. We at MENSHARE Listening Group believe that it’s massively important to talk about the things that are having an impact on you.
Since the pandemic started in 2019, the NHS and its 3rd party services have been heavily strained with the high-level demand to support the public especially men with mental health.
Suicide in men between the ages of 45-49 has increased on average 24 men per 100.000 in the population.
It has become apparent with the growth of our group within a short period that there is a massive need for support for men going through troubling times.
